Whether you want to volunteer at a meet-up, help lead a chapter, or be part of our strategic growth, we’d love for you to join us in building an inclusive community.

Become a Volunteer

Our meet-ups and events are the heart of ParaCliffHangers. As a volunteer, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting climbing access, fostering a welcoming atmosphere, and making a direct impact—whether at indoor sessions, outdoor adventures, or competitions. Volunteering with ParaCliffHangers means joining a truly inclusive community where we proudly welcome everyone, regardless of ability.

Become a Chapter Representative

ParaCliffHangers is rapidly expanding, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to lead our local chapters! As a chapter representative, you’ll work directly with our national team to grow your local paraclimbing community through regular meet-ups, events, and outreach. We’ll provide training, resources, and mentorship to support your leadership journey.

Chapter Representative Role:

  • Plan and host meet-ups (indoor and outdoor)

  • Build relationships with local gyms, climbers, and volunteers

  • Collaborate with our national team for event planning and promotion

  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment

  • Receive volunteer perks in appreciation for your service to the community

ParaCliffHangers is led by a board of directors who bring diverse experiences and insights to the table. Many of our board members are climbers with disabilities themselves. Our board members play a vital role in guiding the organization's strategic vision, expanding our network, and supporting fundraising efforts. 

Board Members’ Responsibilities:

  • Attend quarterly meetings

  • Assist with strategic planning and organizational growth

  • Support fundraising campaigns and events

  • Advocate for inclusive climbing communities

Not ready to join the board but want to be involved in decision-making? Consider joining one of our board committees! Committees allow you to focus on areas that align with your interests, such as finance, fundraising, program or marketing.

  • Finance Committee: Focus on budgeting and financial planning

  • Fundraising Committee: Develop and execute fundraising strategies

  • Program Committee: Guide program development and participant feedback

  • Marketing: Work with the National Team to create a brand identity across our website, social media and print media.
